How long does a divorce take in Texas if we agree on everything?

My wife and I want to get divorced. We agree on how to split everything and have no kids. We just want it done as quickly as possible. How long does it take in Texas?

Texas has a mandatory 60-day waiting period from the date you file the Original Petition for Divorce before a court can grant the divorce — no exceptions (unless there is documented family violence). For an agreed divorce with no children and no complex assets, the process can be completed in 61–90 days if you have all paperwork ready. You'll file the petition, waive service through an Respondent's Waiver of Citation, finalize your Divorce Decree, and attend a brief final hearing. Many couples use an attorney for the paperwork even in uncontested cases to avoid mistakes that can be costly to fix later.
