Texas Code of Criminal Procedure Chapter 55 governs expunctions. If eligible, an expunction allows you to deny the arrest ever occurred, even under oath.
Who Qualifies?
- Arrests that did not lead to conviction
- Certain acquittals and dismissed charges
- Juvenile records in some circumstances
Non-disclosure orders are a separate option for deferred adjudication probation completers and seal records from most public view.
